Temple opened pre-orders in India at Rs 85,000, and the site crashed soon after, which Deepinder Goyal blamed on traffic he underestimated. His claim that it beats the Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, WHOOP and Oura on heart-rate error rests on an internal study that used a Polar H10 chest strap as reference, and no independent test has been reported, so treat it as a pitch until one lands.
Marty’s Take:
Temple’s heart-rate claim comes from a test it designed, graded against a Polar H10 chest strap, with the headline rivals picked by Temple itself. Until an outside lab repeats it, the Apple Watch comparison tells you nothing about what you would be buying at Rs 85,000. If accuracy is your priority, read our best fitness tracker picks, which rest on independent testing.
