⚙️ Firmware & Updates
Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 owners will have to sit tight until at least H2 2026 for One UI 9’s stable release—a frustrating timeline that leaves the watch lagging behind Samsung’s foldables. If you’re counting on this update for fitness tracking improvements, the delay signals Samsung’s priorities are elsewhere right now.
Marty’s Take:
The One UI 9 delay for Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 isn’t an anomaly — it’s a pattern. Samsung’s wearable software has consistently taken a back seat to its phone and foldable lineup, and this confirms the pecking order isn’t changing. If update cadence matters in your fitness tracker decision, Samsung’s track record makes a strong case for Garmin or Apple Watch over the long haul.
