Polar Announces Street X, a Rugged ‘Urban-Ready’ Smartwatch

⚙️ Firmware & Updates

Garmin Fenix 8 beta testers who hit a map crash mid-activity, a heart-rate broadcast that cut out after toggling Bluetooth, or a reboot as a workout saved now have fixes in v24.13 and v24.14, two builds shipped the same day with 28 fixes in total. ECG and Dive remain disabled in these beta builds.

Marty’s Take:

Twenty-eight fixes in a day is good news for the Garmin Fenix 8, but it is also a warning for buyers. If ECG or full Dive support drove your purchase, those features are still off, so you are paying today for a promise. Anyone who needs a dependable watch now should check our comparison guides first and skip beta firmware until a stable release arrives.
