Google delays Fitbit Air sleep breathing quality feature, says it is coming ‘soon’

Google’s Sleep Breathing Quality feature launched on Pixel Watch last month, and the Fitbit Air still doesn’t have it. Google has moved its promise from “later this year” to “soon” with no date attached, so the Air’s delay is undated. If you’re choosing between them, the Google Pixel Watch 3, 4 and 5 already support sleep quality, insulin trends and blood pressure trends, while the Air is still missing sleep breathing quality.

Marty’s Take:

If you’re buying a fitness tracker for health insights, the Fitbit Air is a worse bet than the Google Pixel Watch 5 today. Google slid Sleep Breathing Quality from “later this year” to “soon,” and a feature without a date is a feature you are not buying. The Google Pixel Watch 5 already ships with the full set.
