Amazfit launches Balance 2 smartwatch and Helio Strap in India

⚙️ Firmware & Updates

OpenStrap adds call and notification alerts, workout controls, and heart-rate zone haptics to the Amazfit Helio Strap, though Zepp is still required for setup. It fills a real gap for buyers, but the battery tradeoff is only speculation.

Marty’s Take:

Buy the Amazfit Helio Strap for what its official software supports today. If wrist alerts are essential, relying on an unofficial app makes its continued compatibility part of your purchase decision.
